San Francisco Garter Snake

This species was one of the earliest Federally registered endangered species and is considered the most beautiful serpent in North America! And one of the largest living populations left in the wild is right here in Sharp Park, Pacifica, CA, just down the street from our shop.

Small three-color print on the front, a large beautiful three-color back print on the back, and one color sleeve print, all beautifully screenprinted in South San Francisco!

The front graphic reads:

San Francisco Garter Snake.

Fish and Wildlife Service Endangered Species

Federal Register, Vol 32, No. 48—Saturday, March 11, 1967

The sleeve print reads "Thamnophis sirtalis tetrataenia" which is the snakes long and elegant scientific name.
