Cotton Crustacean Donating Proceeds to Help California Fire Victims

Over this last weekend (Oct 14th-15th) Cotton Crustacean accepted a last minute invite to exhibit at the legendary Half Moon Bay Pumpkin and Art Festival which attracts over 200,000 people each year. We took that opportunity to raise some money to help all the thousands of people affected by the ongoing Wine Country fires that have been tearing through the North Bay in California.

We managed to collect $820 towards this cause, and will be donating to the United Way of the Wine Country, via Jackie's work, the video game company, Electronic Arts, in Redwood City. EA will match dollar for dollar our donation to which ever group we wish. United Way does incredible work, and are in the midst of these fires, collecting money and physical goods to help all of those that have lost so much in their area.

We're going to keep this donation drive going here on line, so for now, all black shirts sold via our website will earn the same $10 donation per shirt, which we'll donate via EA to double that amount.

This weekend (Oct 21-22) we'll be exhibiting at the Danville Fall Crafts Festival in downtown Danville, and we'll be extending the donation drive there as well.

Please take this opportunity to get some great prehistoric animal tees from a small local company and help fellow Californians in dire need of assistance.

UPDATE: On October 24, 2017 we donated a total of $1,035 to United Way of the Wine Country, which was matched by Electronic Arts, for a total contribution of $2,070! Many thanks goes out to everyone who participated in the fundraiser, from either purchasing black shirts through our web store or in person at our two pop-up shop shows. Thank you!!!
